BBQ 15th August at FP Club

Please don’t forget that this years annual cricket Barbecue will be held at the FP Club from 7pm on Saturday 15th August.  As well as the usual BBQ food there will also be a selection of curry to enjoy.  There is a small charge to cover food and we will also have a raffle during the evening.

All members past and present plus family are welcome.

If on teamer, please accept the invite if you can attend to give a guide to numbers.

Night of the Champions

As the well informed among you will already be aware, FP’s 2nd XI clinched this season’s Grade 3 title a couple of weekends ago with victory over 2nd Mannofield.

In honour of this achievement there is a night out scheduled for Saturday 30 August (tomorrow). We will be meeting at the FP Clubhouse on Queens Road by 8pm for a few drinks before heading into town for a few more.

All are welcome to attend. If you wish to meet up with us later in the evening then get in touch on 07958 543 642 and I’ll let you know where we are.

25 year Cup Final Reunion

FPs enjoyed a celebration on Friday night at Kippie Lodge to remember reaching the Scottish Cup Final in 1988.  25 years on, none of the players had aged at all, and with all in attendance they were able to recreate the team photo.  After speeches and a sure fire number one hit song from John Eagles, a 3 course meal with a few refreshments were enjoyed.

Club BBQ – this Saturday

REMINDER – the club BBQ is this Saturday at the FP Club following the 3 matches.  We have had a good response so far, but if you have not done so already please accept the Teamer invite saying you will be there.  As well as BBQ food, we have also secured some fine Indian cuisine via Shree Bheemas.

There will also be a raffle, so any donated prizes are welcome.

There is a small contribution of £5 a head towards food.

Social this Saturday

Don’t forget that we’ll be getting together at the Grammar Club after the games on Saturday. It would be great to see as many players and supporters as possible making it along to welcome in the new season.

If the weather forecast is to be believed then it looks like we should get some cricket in on Saturday. If not, we will still be meeting at the club so don’t let the rain dampen your spirits too much and we’ll see you there!
