Hazball Floors Broch

An astonishing maiden century from Hasnain Javaid propelled FPs to victory against Fraserburgh after his side had fallen to 81 for 6. He smashed 7 fours and 9 sixes in his 108 from 80 balls and was well supported by debutant Ben Garwood who made 20 in a stand 57 and Jim Lee who stuck in as part of another 57 run stand making 3. Fraserburgh started well and a whirlwind half century from Rohani had them right in the hunt at 81 for 1, but after Agha Haider superbly bowled him, Fraserburgh lost regular wickets as FPs closed out an 87 run win. Dropped Catches Lose Matches for FPs

FPs once again threw way a game that should have been won as they allowed Grampian off the hook as they recovered from 113 for 8 to post 151. It would have been many less if FPs had not spilled catches. FPs then struggled to get going in the chase but nearly pulled off a late recovery as Hasnain Javaid smashed 39 with 4 sixes and shared 47 with Geoff Morrison for the 8th wicket to take FPs in sight of victory only to falter in the closing overs. FPs suffer 1st loss to Portcullis despite Anand Ton

FPs bowling and fielding deserted them as they managed to throw away a very strong position against Portcullis and ultimately fall to a 4 wicket loss. After Karan Anand had made a century for FPs in their 226 for 8, FPs seemed well in command when they reduced Portcullis to 107 for 6 but a fine century from former FPs man Amand Sood aided by 28 from McKenzie saw Portcullis home with an over to spare.

FPs Cruise to the Final

FPs kept up their winning streak, defeating Ellon by 7 wickets to reach the final of the Bon Accord Cup. FPs were always in control as Prash struck twice early and then FPs kept the run rate below 6 to restrict Ellon to 118 for 8, Johnny Barrett with a stylish unbeaten 69. Hasnain Javaid bowled a fine spell in the middle overs taking 3 for 18 as FPs kept control, Prash also grabbing 3 for 15. A strong start between Mike Nattrass (37) and George Gill (29) enabled a 59 run opening stand and a quickfire 26 from Karan Anand put FPs on easy street. The final is on the 30th July. FPs Claim Thriller at Huntly

Macklin played a vital innings

FPs claimed an improbable 5 run win at Huntly to remain top of Grade 1 managing to defend 88 on a challenging surface. They were indebted to a stoic 17 not out from Pete Macklin and then to bowlers Rob Swiergon and George Gill who shared 8 wickets between them, Gill also claiming a run out. It was a gallant victory which had seemed unlikely after the batting had faltered badly, however a fine bowling display which saw 8 bowled and 1 LBW ensured another win.
