2s ran out the winners on the DLS method against 2nd Knightriders to keep their promotion hopes alive in Grade 2. Having made 173 all out thanks to Harry Murphy’s 34, Mo Waheed’s run a ball 31 and 20 from Tom Murray, Grammar were always on top. They had reduced Knightriders to 65 for 5 from 25 overs when heavy rain ended the game early.
Both Kahsif and Upadhyaya had bowled tightly with the new ball and with pressure mounting Naveed kept it tight with 1 from 13 from 6 overs before Nasseri (2/10) and Saboor (1/7) pushed the hosts even further behind the rate with more accurate bowling.
It was of course unfortunate rain ended the contest but it did look like Grammar were well places to claim the win. Next up is 2nd top Fraserburgh at Rubislaw.
