Team 2 won claimed promotion to Grade 1 thanks to an excellent win against table toppers Grampian. Despite making just 150 all out on the now always slow Rubislaw outfield, excellent bowling saw Grammar win by 40 runs, Kamran Quraishi claiming a magnificent 6 for 25.
Grammar had again started well with Murray (13) and Murphy (18) adding 46 for the 1st wicket aided by extras before regular wickets saw Grammar slip to 121 for 8. However once again Kashif stepped up with 28 as he and Usman added 29 for the 9th wicket to boost Grammar.
Grampian started badly falling to 18 for 3, but looked set for victory at 101 for 4 when Abbasi struck to bowl Nadim for 40. It led to an incredible collapse as the 6 wickets went down for 9 runs in 6 overs, Quraishi destroying the lower order as Grammar claimed a magnificent win.
