1s missed another opportunity to ease their relegation fears as they fell to a 2nd defeat of the season to Crescent. Chasing 160 for victory, Grammar were disappointingly bowled out for 133 as the batting again failed to deliver. Prash had again delivered with the ball bagging 4 for 28 while Hassaan (2/28), Javaid (2/32) and Agha Haider (2/26) supported well as Grammar kept Crescent in check throughout.
Grammer reached 57 for 1 and 92 for 3 thanks to 27 from Alex Keith, 29 from Leston D’Costa, but no one could go on and make a score. Grammar while scoring slowly were still in decent shape at 131 for 6, but collapsed dramatically to be all out for 133 with 3 overs still in hand. While Grammar are just above the relegation places, without winning a game or 2 it will be a real challenge to stay in Grade 1.
