Wet Wet Wet as all Grammar Games Wiped Out

Heavy overnight rain meant all 3 Grammar games were washed out on Saturday. Thankfully the calls came early in all 3 as wet outfields and ongoing drizzle made for easy decisions all round.

3s did get playing on Sunday in the Bon Accord Cup Semi Final and looked on course to take their tremendous cup run onto the final as they made 139 for 6 thanks to a dominant 74 (9×4, 3 x6) from Rasib Bashir from just 49 balls. He was well supported by Leston D’Costa with 32 but once again rain got involved.

Despite everyone’s best efforts there was no way the game could be completed or reach the 15 overs for the rain calculator to be used and the teams will need to start afresh next Sunday. League leaders Grampian had been reduced to 14 for 4 and despite recovering to 47 for 4 still needed 92 from 76 when the game had to be called.
