2s had an off day as they lost by 7 wickets at home to Huntly. Grammar fell to a scarcely believable 23 for 8 and then 37 for 9 but a spirited last wicket stand of 39 to more than double the score did at least help Grammar to some batting points. Usman batting 46 balls for his 11 showed what could be done and he was well supported by last man Sahadat Abbasi who made 18 from 34.
76 was never likely to be sufficient and despite a couple of wickets for Siddiq who took a very impressive 2 for 7 off 7 overs and a wicket from Suleman Quraishi, Huntly eased home with just under 17 overs in hand.
The result leaves 2s just behind Fraserburgh by 0.61 percentage points with 6 games to go. Next week 2s and 3s meet at Rubislaw.
