After the euphoria of last week’s last gasp win against Grampian, 2s were on the wrong end of a dramatic finish as needing 3 to win from the final ball Mohammed Khan hit the last ball for 4 to complete a dramatic win for 2nd Masterblasters. In a game that ebbed and flowed, Grammar posted a very useful 211 for 7, with Masood (33), Amjad (25) the highest contributors, but runs scored through out the team without anyone going big.
Masterblasters seemed to have everything in hand at 170 for 3 but when Naveed Ul-Hassnan (4/48) ran through the middle order, Grammar seemed favourites with their opponents 191 for 7. However an 8th wicket stand of 20 edged Masterblasters home at the very last moment. 2s remain in 2nd place and next up face a tricky game against Fraserburgh at Rubislaw.
Man of the Match
Naveed Ul-Hassnan for his wickets and late runs.
