Kenny Reid hit a brilliant century for Aberdeenshire in the latest 2020 match as the visitors were winners by 55 runs at Rubislaw. The former Alex Keith protege showed all his power in making 105 off just 44 balls as Aberdeenshire racked up 236 for 3 in their 20 overs. He was well supported by Joseph Horne who made 40 and Lewis Munro who struck 40 not out. All the FP bowlers inflicted damage, Rob Swiergon at least claiming 2 for 47.
FPs started the chase well, putting in 72 for 1 in the powerplay, to get ahead of the rate, but after they lost Fraser Proud for 48 off 24 balls, LBW to Chandu bowling off-breaks round the wicket no less, the chase faltered and FPs fell behind the rate. Alex Keith did keep faint hopes alive with a determined 65 not out but the total was too much and Aberdeenshire was able to close out a deserved win.
