Proud kept up his good batting form
FPs made it 2 wins out of 2 in the T20 Scottish Cup, comfortably seeing off Strathmore Union side Huntly by 7 wickets. Huntly were always up against it as they fell to 32 for 5 but some fine hitting by Parkin with 41, including 5 sixes, helped them post 99 all out. Rajaa Monnapillai (2/11) and Aman Sood (3/26) knocked over the top order before the good stand was ended by John Thomson. He claimed 2 for 17 and Mahesh Challa nipped in to bowl out the tail with 3 for 9 in his 8 balls.
With the bat, FPs were always ahead of the rate as Proud marshaled the chase in a balanced 39 not out, he and Geoff Morrison sharing 48 for the 2nd wicket which broke the back of the chase. Some late hitting by Alex Keith ensured FPs were at the finishing line with 10 balls to spare.
