As previously mentioned with the impending sale of the FP Club, we have been able along with the Rugby Team and Hockey get an agreement in place with the new owners of the Great Western Hotel to relocate the Sports Sections to their premises. We cannot state enough how accomodating the new owner Graham Truscott has been in accomodating our needs, really going above and beyond to make us feel part of the new ventures. The new bar and beer gardens will supply an excellent base to meet before and after games, store kit, and display selected memorabilia. Attached is a very positive article from today’s P&J with some more details. It represents a great opportunity for many like-minded people to still see each other and catch up on Grammar sport.
With it looking increasingly likely that we will be back on the field during May, having this agreement in place with the Great Western Hotel should set us up for an enjoyable season.
We are also in the midst of securing new practice nets and would plan some level of crowdfunding to help meet the cost of these facilities, details to follow soon. Any donation large or small will greatly help as we look to renovate the practice facilities before in the longer term looking to replace the artificial pitch.
