FPs won their opening game versus Knightriders in the 7s amassing 102 in their 36 balls, Karan Anand making 35 not out, Alex Keith 18, Ranald Wilkie 19 and Sam Knudson 20. Douglas Russell then produced an outstanding over of slow medium pace to knock over Siva and Vaduganathan claiming 2 for 12. Some excellent all round bowling and fielding meant FPs won comfortably by 28 runs.
The 2nd game, effectively the semi final was abandoned in very unfortunate circumstances. FPs were batting and had reached 78 for 0 when Karan Anand launched the penultimate ball high towards long off. Abrar making great ground to superbly catch it one handed but while moving at speed he collided with Kache who was also running at speed. The sickening collision left both players badly injured and both had to be taken from the field by ambulance. The game was rightly abandoned and FPs wish both players their best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.
