FPs exited the Turriff Cup to Knightriders at a gloomy Groats Road on Tuesday evening. Despite a very good start with Mapplebeck and Poosappadi striking early, Knightriders made 156 for 8 thanks to 56 from Siva. Herd claimed two wickets for 25 with a good spell of offspin but FPs were always facing a tough chase. A slow start combined with 3 very quiet middle overs meant FPs fell behind the rate and lost wickets as they tried to up it, with only Karan Anand 56 and Eddie Steinson 28 making noteworthy scores.
FPs play in the 7s on Wednesday but are without many key players due to a certain stag party….
