After persistent heavy rain overnight, the rain continued all morning on Saturday meaning all 3 games were wiped out for FPs along with most sides in Scotland. It was a bitter blow as after some really hard work to source players after 2 scratchings, 3rds were set to complete their 1st game of the season against 2nd Kemnay Kintore. 1sts clash with bottom of the table Ellon was called off as was 2nds away clash with 2nd Grampian.
With the weather looking better for Sunday, the Rubislaw XI should start their league campaign after previous postponements with a game at home to Gordonians.
Next Saturday, cricket may well take a back seat for a number of the long established clubs and players due to a certain game in Glasgow, but not with standing FPs have 3 Saturday fixtures, 1sts at Bon Accord, 2nds at home to Stonehaven and 3rds are scheduled to travel to 2nd Stonehaven.
The following day 1sts host Edinburgh Accies in the CS Challenge Cup, the trophy brought in to replace the Small Clubs Cup which FPs won so magnificently in 2016.
