For the fourth week in a row, FPs ‘won’ before Saturday as 2nd Stonehaven scratched to FPs 2nd XI. It is becoming a fairly common tale sadly for the 2nd and 3rd XI as not only do players have to see if they have made the 33, there is then the waiting game to see if any opponents will scratch. Unfortunately an offer to play in a friendly and lend some players was not able to be arranged so it will be another week off for a number of cricketers. Going forward it does give concern to FPs if one of the sides is in the new Grade 4 next term how many games they will play.
Next weekend will hopefully see FPs return to 3 games on the Saturday as well as a cup semi final on the Sunday.
