Nets
First up this month news of this year’s pre-season indoor nets. These will be held every Tuesday evening in March from 8.00pm to 9.30pm in the Grammar School gameshall on Skene Street.
The first date for your diary is Tuesday 6th March. We hope that as many players as possible can make it along so that we can make the most of these sessions.
Invitations for nets will come out to all current players through teamer.net. Please reply to these so that we have an idea what sort of numbers to expect each week.
Club Kit
We will be continuing with Kukri as official Grammar Cricket clubwear provider. All items sports the club badge and colours where appropriate and the following are available:
- Short-sleeved Shirts @ £22 each
- Sleeveless Fleeces @ £25 each
- Trousers @ £20 each
Please complete the online order form by Friday 16th March for your new whites to arrive in time for the start of the season.
Pre-season Friendlies
We will be playing two pre-season games this April including a trip to Perth to play Perth Doo-cot on Sunday 22nd April. Our opponents have only recently been formed following an amalgamation of Perth’s existing five cricket clubs and we look forward to being one of the club’s very first opponents.
This will be a great opportunity to play cricket in a new setting for most of us and we’re hoping for spring-like weather, a competitive game and some enjoyable post-match socialising.
We are also in the process of arranging a game on Saturday 14th April so please note this in your diaries and we should be able to announce the opponents in our next newsletter.
Note that the season proper starts on Saturday 28th April and the fixtures should be available on the website very shortly.
Player Recruitment
Finally this month another reminder to think about approaching anyone you know who may be interested in joining us this season. We already have a few new names who we hope to see at nets next month but there is always room for new talent of all levels.
