FP XI thwarted by rain at Dunecht

An FP XI were unable to secure a pre season victory at Dunecht after heavy rain brought the game to a premature end.  Dunecht won the toss and asked FPs to bat on a very green pitch but Geoff Morrison struck 45 and both Paul McDonald and Karthick retired having notched half centuries as FPs cruised  254 for 5 in 40 overs.  In response Karthick struck in his first over as McDonald took a chance at gully, but rain intervened shortly after.  All in all it was a good workout for the FP bastmecn ahead of the 1st league game next Saturday.
