2nd FP’s Close In On Title After Rain Stops Play

FP’s 2nd XI go into next weekend’s final league game knowing that a win will secure them the Grade 3 title after their top of the table clash against Kemnay-Kintore was halted due to rain.

FP’s were put into bat with Chris “Chalkie” Clelland and Matt Barker opening the batting against the Thom Brothers, one from each end.

With the rain falling fast the match always looked in doubt but Barker and Clelland stuck in for 14 overs scoring 16 and 17 respectively before the match was brought to a halt.

Thanks to the rest of the team for making the effort to turn up in the face of an offputting weather forecast and to KK for making a go of it.

The final game of the league season sees FP’s face 2nd Mannofield at Rubislaw. Eternal glory awaits!
